The Start of Your
Journey With Jesus
Making a conscious decision to follow Jesus
is the first step in a relationship with Him.
You are loved by God.
Scripture says, “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16)
Eternal life is more than just going to heaven and living after you die. It also involves the ability to live in a peaceful, loving relationship with God. “And this is eternal life, that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent.” (John 17:3)
Eternal life is also having the ability to live your life to the fullest, as God intended. Jesus (God’s son) said, “I came that they may have life and have it abundantly” – a complete life full of purpose. (John 10:10)

We are sinful and
separated from God.
People were made in the image of God to live their lives in a loving relationship with God forever. However, because of sin, we have been separated from God and are completely unable to restore the relationship on our own. “But your sins have made a separation between you and your God, and your sins have hidden his face from you so that he does not hear.” (Isaiah 59:2). “All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23).
God sent Jesus to die
for your sins.
Out of a kind of love that we cannot fathom, God sent Jesus to die in our place so we could have a relationship with God and be with Him forever. “God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us (Romans 5:8). It didn’t end with Jesus’ death on the cross. He rose from the dead and he is alive today! “Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures, (1 Corinthians 15:3-4).
Accepting God's free gift.
Would you like to begin a relationship with God? We can’t earn forgiveness of our sins and in turn, a relationship with God. It can only be given by His grace. It’s a gift. “The gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord” (Romans 6:23).
