Two Interpretations
  • Author’s point is an analogy.  No genealogy is given for Melchizedek because unlike the Aaronic priesthood, in the Melchizedek priesthood genealogy is unimportant.
  • The phrases “w/o mother, father, genealogy, beginning and end” should be taken literally.

Jesus, Our Melchizedek
