Calendar Item - Eagle Christian Church

This will be our 3rd annual World Vision 30 HOUR FAMINE. It is one of ECC's Middle School ministries biggest events of the year... and it is FREE to you! Join 75-100 students and staff who will go 30 hours without food to raise money for starving children all around the world.
In the last 3 years, our students have raised over $15,000.00 for World Vision... please be praying about what we can accomplish at this years famine.

Basically, all who participate get sponsors ahead of time (like a walk a thon) to sponsor them to not eat for 30 hours in order to raise $$ for Starving Kids all around the globe. This event includes spending the night at the church, having times of worship, teaching, prayer, fun and games, quiet time with devotions, and doing SERVICE PROJECTS on Saturday (IE:Salvation Army, homeless shelters in Boise, & serving at a variety of locations throughout the valley. We will "break-fast" with a meal in the early afternoon, and close with prayer.
If you desire to REALLY MAKE A DIFFERENCE in the lives of people here in the valley... and to feed starving kids in the world... to REALLY have an opportunity to be the hands and feet of Jesus to the world and our community... then this is the event for YOU!
Check in at the church is on Friday, April 15 at 7pm. Bring your sleeping bag, pillow, change of clothes, PJ's, toothbruch (and paste... duh), and work gloves if you have any and ANY and ALL donations you have collected as of date. We will be heading out on Saturday to do service projects all over the valley, and will be back to the church to end our fast with a meal and then be officially over with the famine at 2pm!
